Man, 25, jailed for selling cocaine and cannabis in Chester

A man has been jailed after pleading guilty to selling cocaine and cannabis in Chester.
On Monday 15 September, Sam Carroll was jailed for three years at Chester Crown Court.
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply both class A and class B drugs (cocaine and cannabis).
On 29 September 2023, Chester officers conducted a section 8 warrant at an address on Stanford Road.
Upon entering the property that officers believed he was living in and dealing drugs from, Caroll was nowhere to be seen.
However, officers found a sizable quantity of drug related paraphernalia. This included carrier bag and tin containing cannabis buds, a set of scales, one roll of small plastic bags and around £110 in cash.
Officers also located a mobile phone inside the address and a quantity of white power stored in carrier bags that was later revealed as cocaine.
The estimated street value of the drugs seized was believed to be around £5000.
Traces of Carroll's DNA were also found on the carrier bags containing the drugs and data taken from his phone also revealed a number of text messages relating to the supply and distribution of drugs.
After Carroll was located and arrested, he was questioned by officers in relation to the items found at his address and the messages relating to the sale of drugs on his phone. He responded "no comment" to all questions put to him.
He was subsequently charged and pleaded guilty despite this, at his first hearing in August 2025.
Detective Constable Liam Clarke, of CID Reactive West, said: "I welcome the sentence handed to Sam Carroll and I hope it acts as a warning to any other would-be drug dealers in the local area.
"The dangers of drugs are well-known and our fight against these illegal substances is never over.
"We will continue to crack down on those who bring drugs into our communities and hold those responsible to account.
"However, we cannot do this alone.
"We rely on the support from members of the local public and act on information provided by them relating to drug dealing and production in their areas.
"So I would strongly encourage anyone with any information or concerns to please contact their neighbourhood team."
