Dance instructors from Vicars Cross Community Centre are set to host a free event as part of a nationwide initiative 'to get more people dancing'.

Headed up by Angela Rippon, the campaign is encouraging instructors and organisations to create their own 'Let's Dance' event on Sunday 2 March 2025.

Free of charge, the evening is set to take place at Vicars Cross Community Centre, from 6.30pm-8.30pm.

For those unable to take part for the full duration, or needing a break, there will be a seating area and free refreshments available.

Chester-based instructor, Jess Cristofoli-King, will lead a Clubbercise class as part of the event.

Highlighting the importance of the movement, she said: "We are so excited to be involved in this Nationwide campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of dance on mental and physical wellbeing.

"We're hoping this will be a fantastic community event, bringing people together to connect through dance and music.

"Anyone aged 16 and over can get involved, with 10 minute taster sessions of Zumba, Clubbercise and Line Dancing.

"It's the perfect way to try something new and don't worry, you don't need to dance for the full two hours.

"We hope to see you there; it's going to be a fantastic evening."

Attendees can book their free ticket here.
