A Lent procession will take place in Chester this evening (March 17), featuring music and moments of reflection.

Beginning at the Cross in Chester city centre, performers from the Mystery Plays Choir and the Karamba Samba Drummers will create a vibrant and reflective start to the evening.

Hot cross buns will be served, with choral pieces and readings taking place along the route. It will conclude at Chester Cathedral, where refreshments will be served.

Running from 6pm to 8pm, the event is open to all, offering a moment of community reflection and shared hope during the Lenten season.

Senior Chaplain, Rev Dr Gill Reeve, said: "This year's Journey of Hope is an important opportunity for us to focus on hope even in challenging times."

This year's procession is a collaborative event led by the University of Chester Chaplaincy team, in partnership with the university choir and Chester Cathedral.
