Chester business 'closed for the foreseeable future' following kitchen fire

The Music Hall Tap will remain 'closed for the foreseeable future' following a kitchen fire at the venue earlier this week.
On Monday 26 January, five fire engines were sent to tackle a fire on the top level of the venue, which had caused significant damage to the upper-level back-of-house areas and parts of the building structure.
The blaze had also damaged the kitchen on the third floor and the roof space.
Today (Thursday 29 January), the business has released a statement, outlining the decision to remain closed until it can 'fully guarantee the safety of all customers and staff'.
It outlined that those with existing bookings will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss 'alternative arrangements or refunds'.
Reiterating that the team will be 'back soon', a spokesperson said: "Over the past 48 hours, we have been assessing the extent of the damage.
"Unfortunately, Music Hall Tap will remain closed for the foreseeable future until we can fully guarantee the safety of all customers and staff.
"In the meantime, we will be contacting all upcoming bookings to discuss alternative arrangements or refunds.
"We kindly ask for your patience during this time, as there is a lot to manage and we are doing everything we can to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
"We also politely ask that our inboxes are not inundated, as we will be prioritising immediate bookings in the first instance."
