Two people have been injured after a car crashed into the side of a home in Chester this afternoon (December 1).

At around 12.20pm, police and two fire engines attended the home on Meadows Lane, Chester.

A car with two women inside had crashed into the side of the house.

Upon arrival, crews isolated the vehicle's battery and stabilised it before cordoning off the area.

Both casualties inside the car were closely monitored by paramedics before being successfully rescued from the vehicle.

The two occupants were then taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police has confirmed "suspected structural damage" to the home, which is now being assessed.
