Artezzan and Storyhouse unite to support Chester’s young talent
Storyhouse and Artezzan have announced a partnership to raise funds for Storyhouse Young Company (SYC).
Through Artezzan's Simply Giving scheme, 25p from every paella sold during November and December will be donated to SYC.
SYC provides free opportunities for disadvantaged young people to discover and develop their passion for the arts.
While the funds will directly support the programme, this collaboration also reflects a shared commitment to nurturing creativity, opportunity, and community in Chester.
Rachel Karlsson, Artezzan's Business Development Manager, is a graduate of Storyhouse Young Company.
Her time with SYC ignited her passion for the arts and helped her develop skills that shaped her career today.
Rachel said: "Storyhouse Young Company gave me the confidence and tools to thrive, both personally and professionally.
"It's fantastic to be part of a partnership that will allow other young people to experience the same opportunities I had.
Charlotte Atkinson, Storyhouse's Fundraising Manager, emphasized the importance of the collaboration.
She said: "Artezzan's support is a wonderful example of a local business giving back in a meaningful way.
"Every paella sold will directly support our charity and young people who might not otherwise have access to programmes like Storyhouse Young Company, helping them unlock their creative potential and build their futures.
SYC is a cornerstone of the organisation's mission to offer transformative opportunities to young people who wouldn't usually have the chance.
From acting training to performance opportunities, SYC empowers participants to build skills that extend far beyond the stage.
