A 'disruptive' property in Chester has been closed for the next three months.
Chester police have secured a closure order for a residence on York Street, Chester, due to ongoing anti-social behaviour at the address.
It was granted at Chester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 15 October.
Forming part of a wider communal residence, the property has been closed for the next three months under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Officers worked closely with the community to gather evidence of the reported anti-social behaviour.
As a result, the occupant has been ordered to leave and seek alternative accommodation.
The property itself will remain closed for the next three months. Anyone who breaches this closure order and enters the property could face a substantial fine or a custodial sentence.
Neighbourhood Inspector James Wilson said: "Closure orders are just one several avenues we can take when it comes to tackling disruptive behaviour in our local communities and closing down hubs, like this, linked to anti-social behaviour.
"We work closely with members of our local Chester communities everyday to ensure they can enjoy where they live and not be disrupted by the few individuals who do not know how to properly behave.
"If you have any concerns about any anti-social behaviour or crime in your area, please speak to your local officer."
"Contact us via the Cheshire Police website or call 101."
