All Six House: Former Lloyds offices to reopen next month as 176-apartment development in Chester

A former office building in Chester is set to reopen as a 176-apartment rental development next month.
The £36.18m transformation of former Lloyds Banking Group offices, known as All Six House, is nearing completion, with work on the first phase expected to finish at the end of May.
Nub News first reported that Developer Blueoak Estates submitted plans to Cheshire West and Chester Council in October 2024, with approval granted in March the following year.
Located on Charterhall Drive, near Chester train station, the development comprises 176 apartments across two former office buildings, Tower House and Charterhall House.

Marking the city's first large-scale build-to-rent scheme, developers say the scheme introduces a model more commonly seen in cities such as Manchester and Birmingham, with professionally managed rental homes and shared amenities.
The development includes one and two-bedroom furnished apartments, alongside facilities such as a gym, co-working space, cinema room, communal gardens and parking, with on-site management.
The scheme will be managed by The Leef Property Group, which says more than 50 tenants have already signed up for an initial 77 homes following off-plan marketing. A show apartment is now open for viewings.
"This is a landmark step-change for Chester's rental market, which tends to be dominated by smaller-scale landlords and conventional flats," said Joe Knowles, CEO of The Leef Property Group.
"All Six House Chester brings convenience, flexibility and community within rental living, rarely seen in the local market. It signals a clear shift in how this style of renting is evolving beyond the UK's major cities.

"With co-working space and fast connections to nearby employment hubs, including Wrexham and Flintshire, its designed for how people live and work today. At the same time, its proximity to Chester city centre offers walkable access to retail, hospitality and leisure - reinforcing the appeal of city living without the scale or pace of larger urban centres."
The development has been delivered by local developer Blueoak Estates, with investment and development support from Get Busy Living, the UK property investment firm specialising in sourcing and structuring large-scale residential opportunities.
Mike Bryce, Operations Director for Blueoak Estates, adds: "All Six House isn't just delivering new homes, but is creating a complete luxury living environment.
"As cities like Chester continue to grow, we expect this type of development to become an increasingly important part of the housing mix.
"From the outset, our focus has been on giving this site a new purpose - transforming existing buildings into high-quality homes that support a growing city centre community."
