26-year-old male pedestrian dies after being hit by HGV in Chester

Cheshire Police are appealing for information and footage following a fatal crash involving a HGV and a pedestrian in Chester.
At around 10.50am on Friday 5 December, officers were called to reports of a collision on the A540 Parkgate Road in Mollington.
The incident involved a HGV and a pedestrian. Sadly, the pedestrian, a 26-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers at this time.
The driver of the HGV is assisting officers with their enquiries. The road was closed but has since reopened.
Sergeant, Amy Hollis, said: "We have launched an investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and as such, we are now appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to get in touch with us.
"The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage which could assist us.
