World EV Day - Great news for EV shoppers in Chester
By Dherran Titherington 8th Sep 2025

World EV Day aims to encourage and support the transition to electric vehicles, so why not grab a PEUGEOT with a £1,500 Grant.
World EV Day is on Tuesday 9 September and there's exciting news for drivers in Chester looking to switch to electric, especially if you've had your eye on a PEUGEOT EV.
The UK government has launched a £650 million Electric Car Grant (ECG) scheme. If you're buying a new electric car priced at £37,000 or under, you could get £1,500 to £3,750 off, depending on how green the car's production is.
Most EVs including popular PEUGEOT's, qualify for the standard £1,500 discount, which is automatically taken off the price at the point of sale for eligible vehicles.
PEUGEOT has announced that a wide range of electric models now officially qualify for the £1,500 grant, including:
- E-208, E-2008, E-RIFTER
- Plus, the newer models E-308, E-308 SW, and E-408 all confirmed eligible across all trim levels and powertrains.
In total, six PEUGEOT EV models currently qualify for the ECG, giving you plenty of options if you're shopping locally.
If you're considering an electric PEUGEOT, this is a brilliant time to act. You could get £1,500 off up front without any fuss.
From sporty hatchbacks like the E-208 to spacious SUVs like the E-2008, practical family models like the E-RIFTER and sleek fastbacks like the E-408.
It's a perfect chance to book a test drive at your local Chester PEUGEOT dealership and celebrate the savings.
