Chester (CH1) 13- 13.50 per hour 8am-5pm Monday-Friday Temporary to Permanent

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established timber distribution business in Chester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver, ideally with previous Sideloader experience, to secure a long-term role within a supportive team. Full training will be provided on the Combi Lift/Sideloader for the right candidate, with genuine opportunities for career progression.

• 13- 13.50 per hour starting rate, dependent on experience.

• Safely load and unload vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck and Sideloader.

• Palletise materials efficiently and securely.

• Handle, move and organise timber stock within the yard.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

• Provide excellent customer service when assisting with collections and deliveries.

• Valid RTITB or ITSSAR Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence, refreshed within the last three years.

• Previous Counterbalance FLT driving experience.

• Willingness to be trained on a Combi Lift/Sideloader, with previous experience highly advantageous.

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

• Strong communication skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.

• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.

• Previous experience within the timber industry is beneficial but not essential.
