Michael Page have been retained by a leading FMCG organisation to recruit an Engineering Manager for thier manufacturing facility near Chester. We are seeking and results driven, experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering function across a complex and challenging site.

Description

The Engineering Manager will report to the Site Manager and will be responsible for a team of 8 engineers and technicians across this complex facility. This role will form a crucial part of the site leadership team and will be responsible for driving operational excellence and cultural transformation across the department. They will:

  • Drive equipment efficiency to ensure optimum availability
  • Develop, embed and drive PPM schedules using Maximo systems
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the engineering team
  • Be accountable and lead investigations and RCA's ensuring all preventative actions are completed efficiently
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align engineering strategies with business objectives
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure and labour spend within agreed budgets

Profile

The successful Engineering Manager will possess a range of the following:

  • Experience within a similar role within the FMCG industry
  • Electrical Engineering background preferred with relevant degree (advantageous)
  • Demonstrable experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement methodology
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Passionate and energetic with s real drive to improve performance and culture
  • Strong leadership acumen with the ability to hold people to account
