Job Title: Document Controller (Aconex)

Location: South of Liverpool, UK (Office-based, 5 days per week)

Company Overview: Our client is a major civil engineering contractor that has rapidly expanded, doubling in size over the last 18 months to become a Tier 1 contractor. With a growing portfolio of high-profile projects, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Document Controller to join their expanding team.

Role Overview: As a Document Controller, you will play a key role in managing, controlling, and maintaining project documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth communication across all project stakeholders. You will be responsible for the administration and distribution of project documents through Aconex, ensuring the right information is delivered to the right people at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all project documents in line with company standards and procedures.
  • Upload, track, and distribute documents using Aconex to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date document registers and filing systems.
  • Support project teams with document queries and provide training/guidance on Aconex when required.
  • Ensure deadlines for documentation submission and approvals are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience using Aconex within a Document Control or similar role.
  • Industry experience in document management (civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, or other sectors considered).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across multiple teams.
