Salary: £22,011 to £22,556 per annum pro rata Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Up to 30 hours per week (part time considered), part year working (36 weeks per year)
Location: Chester and Ellesmere Port Campuses We are looking for inspirational people to join our College in the role of Learning Support Assistant, at our campuses in Cheshire.
This is a rewarding role supporting learners to achieve and progress by removing the barriers to learning. Enabling learners with additional learning support needs to have the same opportunities for success as other learners, providing a supportive link between the learners and their course.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct in class and out of class support to help learners to access the curriculum and the college environment;
• Assist with preparation and adaptation of materials; and
• Immediately report any concerns including safeguarding and welfare concerns in line with College policies.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
- Level 2 qualification (or equivalent), ideally in a Learning Support related discipline
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Good working knowledge and understanding of a wide range of additional needs and strategies to support them
- Excellent organisational and digital literacy skills
