We are seeking an experienced Construction Skills Trainer/Assessorto support learners and apprentices completing Pipefitting and Construction-related qualifications. The postholder will assess practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours in a workplace environment, ensuring learners develop the competencies required for safe and effective groundworks operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, highquality training and assessment in pipefitting up to Level 3, both in the workplace and in the classroom;
- Support learner progress through assessment in the workplace and curriculum delivery;
- Ensuring timely achievement of apprenticeship frameworks and standards; and
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in line with college policies.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
- Level 3+ vocational qualification in a relevant discipline;
- Industry relevant pipefitting experience (minimum 2 years);
- Assessor qualification (or commitment to work towards);
- Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements;
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
- Experience of working in further education;
- Up-to-date occupational experience; and
- This role will be based across multiple sites and therefore a full current driving licence, use of a car and insurance for business purposes are essential to this role.
