As a SEND TA, you will play a vital part in creating an inclusive, positive, and empowering learning experience for children with a wide range of additional needs, including ADHD, SEMH, autism, and other learning differences. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping young people thrive and who are committed to their own professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, providing personalised support tailored to each child's needs.
Collaborate with class teachers, parents, and wider support teams to ensure every pupil receives consistent, high-quality support.
Monitor, record, and respond to pupil progress, adapting strategies to help them achieve their goals.
Engage pupils in creative, motivating activities that build confidence and encourage participation.
Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience working in a SEND setting or similar educational role is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs and abilities.
Relevant SEND or Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous.
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach when supporting pupils.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
