This is a broad, commercially focused role spanning European corporate tax, US GAAP tax accounting and reporting, transfer pricing, Pillar Two and UK tax governance. This is an ideal opportunity for a European tax professional looking to broaden their experience, increase their international exposure and take greater ownership within a growing global organisation.

The Role

Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of European markets, ensuring that tax compliance, reporting and governance requirements are delivered accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with local finance teams, external tax advisers and internal stakeholders across the organisation, providing practical tax guidance and helping the business understand and manage its tax obligations as it continues to expand.

Alongside day-to-day tax responsibilities, you will play an important role in improving processes, standardising ways of working and supporting the evolution of the organisation's international tax function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the direct tax cycle across a portfolio of EMEA markets, working with local finance teams and external advisers.
  • Oversee the preparation, review and submission of corporate income tax returns and related compliance requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisers, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Prepare and review US GAAP current and deferred tax provisions, including quarterly tax reporting.

  • Support the business with transfer pricing matters and related compliance requirements.
  • Support the organisation's approach to Pillar Two / global minimum tax requirements and their impact across EMEA.
  • Manage key UK tax governance requirements, including Senior Accounting Officer (SAO), Tax Strategy publication and Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) requirements.
  • Review and sign off tax compliance deliverables, ensuring appropriate levels of accuracy, control and governance.
  • Provide practical tax advice to finance and business stakeholders, translating technical tax matters into clear and actionable guidance.
  • Build strong working relationships with local finance teams, senior stakeholders and external advisers across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory developments across your markets, assess their potential impact and communicate key developments to relevant stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent English. Additional European language skills would be advantageous but are not essential
  • Experience in European / international corporate tax, ideally gained within a multinational corporate environment or international professional services firm.
  • A recognised professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance and an understanding of tax accounting and reporting.
  • Solid experience with tax provisioning, current and deferred tax and US GAAP tax accounting.
  • Experience supporting statutory audits and working with auditors.
  • Experience managing relationships with external tax advisers and reviewing their work.
  • Confidence reviewing and signing off tax compliance deliverables.
  • An understanding of transfer pricing and/or Pillar Two would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of UK tax governance requirements, particularly SAO, Tax Strategy and Corporate Criminal Offence legislation, would be beneficial.
  • The ability to analyse complex tax issues and communicate their practical implications clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and relationship-building skills.
  • A genuine interest in tax technology, automation and process improvement.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to take ownership of multiple markets, projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach and the confidence to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
