Finance Manager £50-60,000 Chester
A rare opportunity to join a growing B2B business based in Chester. This role reports into the Finance Director and will support the day-to-day running of the finance function as the business looks to grow in the coming years. Comes with a salary of £50-60,000 per year.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a small team, the responsibilities of the Group Tax Manager include:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, journals, prepayments to P&L
- Monitoring and report on variances across budgets
- Oversee cost control processes and identify opportunities for savings
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Lead and develop small team (finance assistant), providing mentoring and developing
- Manage project costs
- Financial analysis of overheads and costs
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Prepare monthly VAT returns
- Administer payroll for employees
- Prepare year-end packs and liaise with external auditors
About You:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
- Background from a dynamic SME environment as this will be a hands on all round finance role
- Excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising across all departments with all level of stakeholders
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
