Contract Role - Indirect Tax Analyst Intern- Chester/Hybrid - 12 Months Initial - Inside IR35 PAYEWe are seeking an exceptional Indirect Tax Analyst Intern sits within the Tax COE Europe team supporting VAT compliance obligations for a group of markets within Europe region and other international markets, as required, ensuring internal and external deadlines are met and to provide advice on VAT compliance related queries, coordinating with external and internal stakeholders where necessary.Role Overview:* Job Title: Indirect Tax Analyst Intern * Location: Chester/Hybrid (50% in the office)* Contract Type: Contract * Duration: 12 months initially, Inside IR35 PAYE* Sector: Pharmaceutical MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Preparation of monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or annual VAT returns and other indirect tax returns (sales listings, domestic listings, purchase listings, Intrastat, SAF-T) using Excel and/or indirect tax return preparation tool technology* Preparing and requesting necessary VAT submission approvals from internal stakeholders* Preparing and raising VAT payment requests and archiving documentation after submissions are completed* Preparation of VAT and Sales General Ledger reconciliations and follow up on issues and open items* Manage and assist with VAT compliance queries from the business as necessary* Assistance with preparation of information for VAT audits requests as necessaryKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:Education/Experience* BA/BSc or equivalent education, ideally in accounting/finance* Experience with SAP or Oracle is advantageous.* Excellent Excel skills.* Fluency in English is essential.
